I am an American expat and I hope I can stay that way.

I am a middle-aged man living in Strasbourg, France with my wife who is a professor in the space industry. I worked in the hospitality industry, mostly as a chef de cuisine, until I was forty and then I went back to school and earned degrees in culinary arts, history, and education. I worked for a few years as a middle school teacher until the opportunity to move to France presented itself. I have been a beer brewer for all of my adult life and am active in the Beer Judge Certification Program. I currently travel through as much of Europe as I can looking for history, studying culture, and drinking beer.
