Président Macron is speaking tonight at 20h and hopefully he will announce the further easing of restrictions. The numbers have been good here in France. Hopefully that will be the payoff for a really restrictive confinement. Or at least a reprieve, a break before our numbers start going all Texas-Florida again. Obviously, the government here won’t ignore the casualties and we will get le reconfinement. You American and UK readers (thanks for reading), you guys started restrictions a lot later than we did, and we were jealous (and concerned) for your liberty. The borders with most our neighbors are supposed to open tomorrow and that excites us because there are several places in Germany to get fresh water and to empty our tanks that are closer to Strasbourg than where we have been going. We found another closed campground today that claims they will open the 27th of June. It is south of the city near the aire in which we are staying tonight on the Rhine. It’s been fun exploring Alsace these last few days. Each little village seems more like a fairy tale than the last one. Many of the villages are separated by vineyards and hop fields. And it’s fun to look at the German castle and vineyard across the river tonight and hope this corner of the world opens a little more tomorrow.
